This picturesque hand made glass Hummingbird has dichroic inlay in the body of the bird, blue on top and emerald on the underside, and not so obvious at first sight are subtle dichroic flex's in the wings.
Dichroic means two colours, there can be a dramatic colour shift in the visible spectrum of light emitted from different types of dichroic glass. when under lighting or when you move around the art work it is possible to see this colour change.
Each piece is handmade by Bill Taylor the glass blower. With an eye for detail and a love for colour he can spend hours blending various colours to produce the right feel or interpretation in the glass art he is looking to achieve. Sometimes very striking or can be the most subtle influences in colour and form making the artist work truly unique.
